Amelia was surrounded by people from various countries around the world. Russia, Italy, America, but more dominant of all was the Japanese population of the class. As expected of course, the actual school was stationed in Japan.
She was born and raised in America. Being a pilot, she picked up on a few words from other languages, but in reality hadn't learned anything that would help this huge barrier. That is, until before she knew she was accepted into Hope's Peak. Upon being accepted, she started trying to at least learn Japanese. She assumed most people would know English, due to it being the international business language, but relying on others for such a thing was not her plan. So, the Summer before her first year, she tried hard to teach herself. Even now she still struggled with it, though that's because she got lazy.
Today, she decided to enter the library and look for language books- and maybe throw in some plane books while she was at it. She wasn't big on reading, especially in other languages. But now would be a good time to force herself to do so. She sat with her feet up on the table, flipping through a book she found on planes. She got tremendously distracted from her initial goal, but was content nonetheless.

"Aah, that was relaxing... I really need to hang out with Junichi more often..."
Daniel was now feeling much better after spending time in his room together with Jun, and the day was still young. Maybe the library had something for him? The mansion was huge, so he figured that the library had a lot of books. He also felt that checking it out couldn't hurt him.
After walking from his room to the library, he carefully opened the door so as not to disturb anyone currently inside. He then quietly closed the door and to his surprise, he saw Amelia sitting there, reading a book. He didn't know what it was, but he could probably guess that the book was about her talent. If there were any books about procrastination, then Daniel would've read them, but alas, there weren't any.
He really didn't want to disturb the obviously focused Amelia, so he sat down at a table that was near her, with a comedy book in his hands.

Her eyes slowly starter to close. She wasn’t even reading this book that she was holding. Instead, she was just silently scanning the pages for pictures. There was a certain passage that caught her attention, but as she read it, she found herself beginning to doze off. Her mind was wandering from the words on the page, and she soon found herself tired.
When the other joined her, she jolted herself to wake up. Seeing her that calm is as rare as seeing a real life pegasus. She gave him a bright grin as to greet him, before finally speaking, not thinking through as to if she may bother him.
“Hey there!” She closed the book she had already grown so bored of. She leans forward, her elbows on the table. “Can I ask what you’re reading~?”
She couldn’t help but be happy that another joined her. She more than anything wanted to make friends with her classmates and now, technically housemates. His appearance seemed friendly, and his introduction from before definitely made the boy seem approachable. With that thought in mind, she had no issue giving him her usually attitude. She also found herself remembering his first name, since it was one often used in her own home country.

Daniel was startled by Amelia suddenly speaking to him. She was really absorbed by the book she had in her hands not three seconds ago. He wondered if the book wasn't to her liking, but he decided not to ask her about it.
Showing the Pilot the book he had in his hands, he smiled at her. "Sure! I'm currently reading 'The Adventures of The Inefficient Heroes'. It's a weird title, but the contents are hilarious, at least to me. Like the title says, there are much better ways the heroes could get past the obstacles, but they always make it more difficult than it needs to be. It's amusing, even if my description makes it sound like it's the worst book ever."
The Procrastinator then scratched his head. The last time he was alone with a girl, which wasn't too long ago, it ended badly for him. Amelia seemed like she oozed friendliness out of every pore of her body, and so he attempted to make smalltalk with her.
"This place here is pretty nice, isn't it? Those peace talks shouldn't be a problem at all, right?"

The pilot closed the book as their conversation started. Since she didn’t mark a page, which showed that she had absolutely no desire to continue with the story she had started. She leaned forward slightly to see the book. The title forced a little laugh out of her. Amelia rested her head on her arms, tilting it to contemplate an answer. Though her ‘contemplating’ was really only her figuring out how to word what she wanted to say.
”This place is beyond spectacular! Though, I more than believe that I’m going to get lost.” She scratched her head at the thought. She’s quite great when it comes to direction, it’s just a matter of actually getting used to a certain place when she was on her feet and not surrounded by certain technology. She then moved on to answer his other question.
“Right! It should be as easy as makin’ a pie, dude!” She grinned widely, lifting her head slightly. “I think the main issue is getting some of the other’s to open up a little bit. Once everyone is comfortable and find their voices, it should be smooth sailing~” She waved her hand in front of her as if it were a wave.
”Hopefully I can help with that a teensy bit.” She chuckled gently at the thought, fully sitting up now.
”And what about you?” She kept with her sweet smile as her tone continued to carry out.

Unlike his female companion before him, Daniel put a bookmark into the book he was reading, so that he could return to it if he so desired. Putting it away, he faced the Ultimate Pilot with a smile.
"I see it the same way you do. This place is really huge! I personally wish we'd get a map so we don't get lost, you know? Currently, the kitchen and the east wing are the places I've memorized so far. Gotta eat and gotta find your own room, right?" Daniel let out a small laugh as he said it.
He then continued to answer the question he himself asked.
"I don't really worry about the others, you know? They're just as talented as we are, and all this is new to all of us. Let's give it some time so that everyone can get used to this place."
He thought that Amelia's hand motion was amusing, and beamed a grin in her direction. "Yeah, this'll be no problem at all!"
But now curiosity had gotten the better of the Procrastinator, and he had to ask Amelia a question.
"Since you're the Ultimate Pilot, how does it feel to fly?"

As he spoke, she nodded in agreement to what he had said. While she felt that, even if comfort came to everyone, those he stuffed themselves in a corner would still have struggles making themselves audible to the group.
As soon as he mentioned flying, she perked up. Her head fully lifting and her hands tightening to happy fists as she leaned forward even more, her torso hanging on the table. She kneeled on the chair, her body lifted in her own comfortable way.
”It feels like the world is yours.” She smiled happily at the thought. She explained it with a far calmer tone than she had kept this entire conversation. Talking about the flying was definitely her favorite thing, and she must have spoken about it before by how easy it was for her to answer. Or perhaps it simply came from her heart.
”When I’m in the air, it almost feels like I’m a bird. Especially when I’m on leisurely practice flights.” Amelia gave the other a gentle smile, her finger tips touching together and her head swaying side to side.
”It’s the most free feeling I’ve ever had. Nothing makes me happier than being able to lift off the ground and be in the clouds. The only disappointing part is that I can’t actually touch them~ I feel like nothing can ever bring me down. It’s relaxing. Think of.. being on a hammock, looking at the sky, and then you’re slowly drifting to sleep. But instead, I’m actually in the sky, not falling asleep. I’m focused and happy.” She felt bad going off into her own little world as she explained it. She blushed gently from embarrassment and rubbed the back of her head with a nervous chuckle.
”Sorry, that must’ve been too much, huh?”
She rubbed her hand on her aviator goggles, keeping that gentle smile despite her embarrassment.

"Nope, not at all!" The glasses-wearing boy assured her. "In fact, you indirectly described my talent as well. Being in a hammock, or a bed, and just drifting into my own world. That is my life. It's laughable compared to your life, since you're physically in the clouds, while I'm only mentally in them."
Despite what he said just now, Daniel wasn't bothered at all. He was content with the way he lived, and he felt great about it. He tried his hardest to make Amelia see that as well.
"You're really passionate about your talent, and I like that! I wouldn't be able to fly a plane like you at all. And then there are people who'd be unable to just sit around doing nothing, unlike me."
Simply looking at Amelia caused Daniel to smile as well. "Your smile is infectious, you know? I have a feeling we'll be getting along just fine!"

“Nothings wrong with lounging around!” She chuckles lightly, using her hands to support her head now.
“I’ve never been one to sit around. My gramps always had me play outside, so I didn’t really get to play around with phones, laptops and all that too often. So I guess in opposition I’m a pretty active person. Though, lounging around and being able to dream all the time sounds like loads of fun in itself. It’s like going places without really going places, right?” She laughs sweetly at the thought, before responding to his final comment.
“Is it really? I’m glad! I don’t mind making friends with ya!” She scratches her head, a more awkward smile crosses her lips. “And plus, I can pronounce your name. Unlike most of the names here, Daniel is no problem for me to say~!” She leans back in her chair again, bringing a single knee to hold up to her chest. She moves quite a bit. “And your talent shows that you're probably too lax of a person to get into a lot of trouble with others, am I right?”

Daniel nodded. "Yeah, when you're daydreaming the, pardon me, sky's the limit. Or space, or even further beyond. When I do this, I think "Ah, this is life." and forget all my worries. You should try that sometime when you get the chance."
The Procrastinator felt as if he could trust Amelia already. She was already so approchable and nice.
"Amelia's easy to pronounce for me as well. Daniel might be an easy name to say because I'm German. Most of us here are of Japanese descent. Luckily I studied up on Japanese before I got here." He flashed a warm smile towards the Pilot.
He then looked carefully around before he spoke further. "You'd think so, but I already caught trouble with the Student Council President, you know, the holier-than-thou one. Junichi calmed me down, though. I'm really no friend of trouble, you see. Too bothersome for my liking."
He then got up from his chair, prepared to leave. "I hope I can see you some other time, Amelia!" He waved at her with a grin on his face and left the library.
"I hope the others will be more like Junichi and Amelia rather than Haruka."

“See ya later, dude!” She said in English accidentally as he left the room. Amelia gave the boy a wave, her grin wider than before. It felt wonderful to know that the guys that she’s met so far have been easy to talk to. While some were quiet, most were just all around comfortable to be around.
This boy specifically seemed very nice. Daniel seemed like the kind of guy she could talk to regardless of the topic. She would definitely approach him again when she had the time to do so. She was unsure how the procrastinator title could help in peace talks, but she was sure he could make due with what he’s got, and she was excited to find out what that was. Hopefully he just wouldn’t procrastinate getting to the meetings. The thought made her let out a sweet laugh, despite her being alone, she could still find a way to be happy.
She kicked her legs back up onto the table. Sure, the language problem would remain. But she would do her best to get through that. Their conversation pushed her a bit more to continue with the studies she had started. She moved the plane books to the side and finally picked up that Japanese language assist book and started to read through. Surely the grammar would be easier if she refreshed her mind, and learned some new words to go along.
